We went up to check out Christmastown on Friday night with Nana and Coach. It was a little chilly and at times drizzling, but we had a great time! First stop was the Sesame Street show which was NOT a hit. Charlie was scared to death the entire time- most likely because it was VERY loud where we were sitting. He did clap though. Afterward when asked he said yes he liked it, no he wasn't scared, and yes he wanted to go back. :)

| Then on to see Pierre the Penguin! |
| And some real penguins too! |
| Charlie loves Frosty again this year, so he was thrilled to see this big guy! |
| First carousel ride! |
| Do all little kids run up to Frosty to give hugs? |
| There was very little that Charlie could ride- these gliders were one of the only real rides he could do- and it was with a parent. |
| He looks so teeny up there, doesn't he? |
In other news, I was at a baby shower Saturday for my college friend Christina, and there was a game where we had to guess mystery jars of baby food by sight. I am proud to announce that I won (to which Christina said she assumed I would win), but I did miss 3 out of 10. One was green and it was a medley of veggies- I just said peas, one was pears and I thought apples (very close!), so the only one I really failed at was peaches. Obviously, Charlie's pureed diet did me good in this contest! I do hope there comes a time in the future when I would fail at this type of game -when Charlie figures out how to eat age-appropriate food! It was great to catch up with some friends who I see all too infrequently. :)
Hopefully soon, you will not have any idea what mush is in those jars, then when you loose the game, you'll actually be winning. And the pic of Charlie hugging frosty? Too cute.
ReplyDeleteFunny, we've never done BG Christmas Town. It looks fun, though!
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing over here about you and the baby food! :o)
