Christmas Part 1 and 2

This past weekend we were in PA for Christmas with my cousins, my mom, and my dad.  Charlie made out well so far, and Santa --and Nana-- haven't even come yet!  We did another night trip up on
Friday like we did for Thanksgiving and Charlie slept essentially the whole way.  (He was up very early Saturday morning though).  Santa came through just as the group was gathering Saturday afternoon. Charlie was excited to see him on top of the firetruck!

We do a gift exchange with my cousins, and one of the gifts included a Cars bowl and spoon set.  Dave stole that gift when his turn came, and here's Charlie checking it out.

Here is Charlie trying some cheese.  This is right before he spit the bite out on the floor and then put the piece back on the cheese tray in the right of the picture. ;)

No celebration of Christmas would be complete without some football in the kitchen!
On the way up we told Charlie he would be seeing cousins Annie and Teresa.  As soon as he woke up Saturday morning (5:30), he was asking for Annie.  Too bad she didn't arrive until a much more reasonable hour.  Also, Saturday morning he got all the presents from my mom.  I guess he thought that was a pretty good deal because when Dave got up with him Sunday morning he said to Dave, "more presents?"  Luckily, we headed over to my dad's where there were, indeed, more presents for him!

Another highlight of the day- during the gift exchange, chaos was all around, and I occasionally lost track of Charlie.  One time he reappeared holding a stuffed "Lightening McQueen" race car.  He was the only little boy, so my first thought was someone must have given him a present and didn't find me to see him open it.  After asking around to see who gave him that race car, it turned out that my sister had brought it for him, and had it in a gift bag in another room to give to him later.  She had not given it to him, but he found the bag on his own, went into it and took the present himself.  Good thing it was for him!

Thanks Uncle Mark for the pictures. I stole them from your FB page. :)
